Who you are agreeing with
Greenroom is operated by Daniel Ainsworth, a sole trader based in England and Wales. These terms apply when you use it. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the product. You need to be 18 or over to have an account.
What Greenroom is
A rehearsal room. You describe a conversation you are dreading, we research what we can about it, and you practise it out loud against a voice that plays the other side. Then you get a debrief on how it went, and over time a model of how you communicate.
What Greenroom is not
It is practice, and it is not professional advice. Nothing it says is legal, medical, financial, therapeutic or human resources advice, and you should not treat a debrief as any of those. If a conversation you are preparing for has legal or medical consequences, talk to someone qualified as well.
It is also not a crisis service. Where a situation involves abuse, violence, coercive control or risk of self harm, the product declines to rehearse it and points you to findahelpline.com instead. That refusal is deliberate and we will not remove it on request. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
The research can be wrong
This one matters, because we put a label on it. A claim marked RESEARCHED means we found a source that said it and we show you the link. It does not mean the source is right, current, or about the company you think it is. A claim marked INFERRED is our reasoning, not a fact at all.
Read the sources before you rely on anything in a real interview. The same goes for everything the coach says: it is a model’s opinion of your answer, it is sometimes wrong, and it is not a prediction of whether you will get the job.
What it costs
We meter one thing: time in the rehearsal room. Everything else, including your model, your drills and your debriefs, is the same on every paid plan.
- Your first rehearsal is free, once, when you sign up. No card.
- An occasion pass is a one-off payment for a single occasion, valid for seven days. It is not a subscription and there is nothing to cancel.
- Coach, Job hunt and Intensive are monthly subscriptions with a monthly allowance of room time.
- Plan time resets each month and does not roll over. Top-up time you buy separately does not expire.
- There is no limit on how long a single rehearsal can run. A forty five minute panel is one rehearsal.
- If you turn on automatic top-ups, we add another hour at your plan's rate when you run out mid-rehearsal, and email you afterwards. You can turn it off in Account at any time.
Prices are shown before you pay and are charged in US dollars. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from Account, taking effect at the end of the period you have paid for. We will tell you by email before any price change affects you.
Refunds
Within 14 days of buying, you can cancel and we refund the rehearsal time you have not used.
If you have not opened the room at all, that is a full refund. If you have used half your minutes, we refund half. Top-ups and occasion passes you have not touched are refunded in full.
By starting a rehearsal in those 14 days you are asking us to begin straight away, and you accept that the cancellation right then covers only the part you have not used. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Your account and fair use
- One account per person. Do not share your sign-in.
- Do not upload confidential material you are not entitled to share, and do not paste other people's private messages if you should not be passing them on.
- Do not use Greenroom to prepare to deceive someone, to impersonate a real person, or to practise anything unlawful.
- Do not try to get around the metering, resell access, or scrape the product.
- Automated or abusive use of the rehearsal room can be limited or cut off, because it is a live service with a real cost per minute behind it.
Who owns what
What you bring is yours: your CV, your script, what you say, and your transcripts. You give us permission to process it only so we can run the product for you, as described in the privacy policy. The debriefs and casefiles we generate for you are yours to use however you like.
Greenroom itself, the software, the design and the name, stays ours.
Availability
We will do our best to keep it running, but this is a small product and it depends on other people’s services. There will be occasional downtime and we do not promise a specific level of uptime. If a paid outage is bad enough to have cost you meaningful rehearsal time, tell us and we will put the time back.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: cancel from Account, and delete your data whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and if we do we will say why unless there is a legal reason not to. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of what you paid.
Liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by us breaking this agreement or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for what happens in your actual conversation, for a job you do not get, or for a decision you take on the strength of something the product said. Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law gives you.
Changes and law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. The agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, though if you are a consumer elsewhere you keep the protection of your own country’s law.
